WE DEFEND ALL TYPES OF TRAFFIC TICKETS
Were you stopped for speeding? Did you receive a notice of mandatory court appearance? We can appear on your behalf and possibly help you avoid a conviction, avoid traffic school, avoid points on your driving record, and/or avoid payment of the fine. Results vary based on the facts, your driving history, and the evidence against you in court.
If you were issued a traffic citation by a police officer, you should hire an experienced attorney to defend your case. The tickets could include a criminal violation and/or civil traffic infraction. A conviction could impact the status of your driver license.
A civil traffic infraction is a noncriminal violation that is not punishable by incarceration and for which there is no right to a trial by jury and no right to court-appointed counsel. See Florida Traffic Court Rule 6.040 Definitions.

For more information see Florida Statute 322.27 Authority of department to suspend or revoke driver license
The Department of Motor Vehicles is authorized to suspend the license of any person who has accumulated 12 or more points within one year. Points are calculated by the date you received the ticket.
- 12 points in 12 months will result in a 30 day suspension
- 18 points in18 months will result in a 90 day suspension
- 24 points in 36 months will result in a 1 year suspension
In Florida, you can elect traffic school once per 12 month period, but only five times in your life. Election of traffic school will keep points off your driver record, but you still have to pay the cost of the infraction which will also still appear on your driver record.
We may be able to help you avoid a conviction, not have to attend traffic school, keep points off your driver record, and/or get the citation dismissed.
