Mr. Mydock practices DUI and criminal defense trial law statewide with an office in Saint Augustine. His experience includes over 2,000 criminal cases and 40 criminal trials completed to verdict. Mr. Mydock accepts criminal cases from traffic offenses to offenses punishable by life.
From 2010 to 2015, Mr. Mydock served as an Assistant State Attorney in the Seventh Judicial Circuit (Saint Johns, Flagler, Putnam, and Volusia counties). He tried cases in the felony, misdemeanor, and DUI divisions. He also acted as the drug trafficking prosecutor and internship director in Saint Johns County. Mr. Mydock prosecuted multiple high profile cases while at SAO7 including four homicide cases that resulted in convictions at trial. In 2014, he appeared in a nationwide television segment by ABC 20/20 about an extortion and aggravated cyberstalking case that he prosecuted. In 2015, Mr. Mydock earned the SAO7 "Top Gun" Trial Award for his work as a felony criminal trial attorney.
Mr. Mydock was born and raised in Gainesville, FL. He attended the University of Florida for undergraduate and law school. He earned
his finance degree in 2006 and law degree in 2009. While at UF,
Mr. Mydock was a member of Florida Blue Key, a Certified Legal Intern
in the felony division of the State Attorney's Office (Alachua County), and a teaching assistant for a law school course in Trial Practice.

Mr. Mydock is a leader in the legal profession. He currently serves as President of the Saint Johns County Bar Association (2018) and as President of the Saint Johns County Chapter of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (2018). Since 2015, he has served the Seventh Judicial Circuit as a member of the Board of Governors for the Young Lawyers Division of The Florida Bar. Mr. Mydock also serves as an investigating attorney for the Seventh Judicial Circuit Bar Grievance Committee B of The Florida Bar. From 2015-2018, he served as a member of Traffic Court Rules Committee of The Florida Bar. Mr. Mydock also is a member of the Criminal Law Section of The Florida Bar and has taught Continuing Legal Education courses for the Saint Johns County Bar Association and The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division. Mr. Mydock also serves as an Adivsor in the Lawyers Advising Lawyers program offered by The Florida Bar. He also is a frequent invited judge for UF College of Law's national trial competition.
